North Huntingdon Resident Faces Pattern of Retaliation and Unlawful Arrests While Demanding Accountability in Local Government

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

North Huntingdon, Pennsylvania — October 2025

Local resident and community advocate Nicholas Carrozza is calling for public attention and support following what he describes as a series of unlawful arrests and retaliatory actions by local officials and law enforcement in North Huntingdon Township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania.

For over a year, Carrozza has been working to expose corruption, misconduct, and systemic cover-ups within North Huntingdon’s government and police department — an effort that began after a tragic car crash left his son’s mother severely and permanently injured.

The crash, which occurred when his son was just 13 months old, was met not with transparency or accountability, but with silence, obstruction, and preferential treatment for those responsible.

“What began as a father seeking answers after a devastating accident has turned into a battle for justice and accountability that reaches the highest levels of our local system,” Carrozza stated. “Instead of addressing wrongdoing, the response has been intimidation and retaliation against me for simply exercising my constitutional rights.”

Since his advocacy began, Carrozza has been arrested three times under questionable circumstances, each linked to his lawful exercise of free speech and public accountability efforts:

  • July 27, 2025Arrested for filming inside the public lobby of the North Huntingdon Police Department, a constitutionally protected act under the First Amendment.

  • August 13, 2025 – Charged with “disrupting” a public meeting on July 16 after speaking for six minutes instead of five and refusing to yield the floor until his full grievance was entered into the public record.

  • October 3, 2025 – Charged with “endangering a public safety official” after holding an officer accountable for mishandling the investigation into his family’s car crash — an accusation Carrozza calls “a desperate attempt to criminalize accountability itself.”

Carrozza alleges that these arrests represent a coordinated effort between local police, township officials, the district attorney’s office, and certain judges to suppress his efforts to expose corruption and negligence.

“The only protection I have left is my belief in the American people,” Carrozza said. “I still believe we — the citizens — are the key holders of power in this country. I’m asking everyone who reads this to please share my story so the truth can’t be buried and accountability can’t be silenced.”

Carrozza continues to document his experiences publicly as part of an ongoing effort to bring transparency and reform to North Huntingdon Township and Westmoreland County. He urges citizens, journalists, and civil rights organizations to stand with him in demanding justice and protecting the rights of every American to speak, record, and seek accountability without fear of retaliation.
